Games To Watch: Week No. 3

Louisville v. Kentucky
Louisville can’t play defense. Kentucky can’t play defense. Kentucky has an explosive offense. Louisville has an explosive offense. These things should make for an incredibly fun match-up. Because Brohm has more weapons than Kentucky’s Woodson, the Cards’ offense is a bit more explosive, but this one is all about who strikes last.

Maryland v. West Virginia
Maryland's defense is pretty good; they allow just 46.5 yards per game on the ground. But Pat White and Steve Slaton are on a-whole-nother level. Plus, Maryland's offense only cranked out 26 points against FIU last week. Do they have enough offense to match West Virginia point for point?

Tennessee v. Florida
Tennessee's young defensive secondary catches a break with some of Florida's weapons dinged up. Still, the Gators have the offensive firepower that gave Tennessee so much trouble in the Cal game. With over 1,000 yards of total offense this season already, look for Tebow to have a field day with the Vols defense. The question, however, comes down to whether or not the young Gator defense can match up with the equally young Vols offense. Ever been to the Swamp? It will be rockin’ but Erik Ainge has been in these situations before. The key match-up will be Ainge versus Urban Meyer.

Ohio State v. WashingtonJack Locker has looked outstanding against Syracuse and Boise State, but he hasn't seen a defense as stout as Ohio State's. The Buckeyes will get just enough offense to win a low scoring affair.

Notre Dame v. Michigan
The good news is that one of these teams finally gets a win. But which is worse: Notre Dame's offense or Michigan's defense? While those units battle to a wash, I'll take Mike Hart running the ball against the Irish defense. There will be more field goals than touchdowns, and the Wolverines will definitely miss Henne.

Arkansas v. Alabama
Alabama's defense looked stout against Vanderbilt, but the Razorbacks are a different kind of team. If the Crimson Tide have the offense to keep up with Arkansas if McFadden and Jones—the Razorbacks’ 1-2 punch—get cranked up, then this will be good.

Southern California v. Nebraska
USC has Nebraska right where it wants them. Nebraska is confident after pummeling a bad Nevada team and eeking out a victory over Wake Forest. Nebraska is confident after watching USC struggle a bit over Idaho. Nebraska is confident that being at home will make a difference. But Nebraska might very well be wrong; USC will be fresh and, as always, their deep. But that confidence and sweet redemption might keep Nebraska in it.

Boston College v. Georgia TechMatt Ryan has his showcase game. Georgia Tech's defense is stellar, but Ryan knows how to pick apart good defenses. It will be close, and it will be decided late.
